2004 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva Taber, Alto Adige, Italy

Editor note: Black berries and preserved cherries on the nose, licorice, some vanilla and light roasted oaky notes. Clean and polished in the mouth, ripe dark fruit, quite fine tannins, good use of toasty oak with prominent spice and vanilla, sweetish and creamy, not particularly deep, but very well made, good finish.
