2006 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva Taber, Alto Adige, Italy

Translate to English Herber, ganz leicht röstiger und zart vegetabiler Duft nach schwarzen Beeren und ein wenig eingemachten Kirschen mit Kräuteraromen, etwas Lakritz sowie nussigen, animalischen und erdigen Tönen. Klare, saftige und sehr reife Frucht im Mund, etwas Kandis und Kompott, leicht röstiges Holz mit Noten kandierter Nüsse und Bitterschokolade, überwiegend mürbes Tannin, recht nachhaltig am Gaumen, hat Schmelz und Kraft, aber auch Schliff, nicht ewig tief, guter Abgang.

Editor note: Youthful, slightly restless nose, tart black berries and some cherries, vegetal notes. Quite a cool style, slightly tart dark fruit on the palate, noticeable roasted oak, fine sandy and slightly astringent tannins, fairly persistent, medium body, good finish. Needs some time to mature.
