2008 St. Magdalener / Santa Maddalena DOC Classico, Alto Adige, Italy

Mature, slightly tart nose, slightly jammy red berries and some plums, slightly sweetish spice. Clear, rounded, fairly creamy fruit on the palate, some more tart notes, but also has sweetish spice, delicate floral and mineral notes, some sugar candy, mature tannins, mineral traces, elegant acid bite, goo finish. Has improved since discarding its reductive notes, but should be drunk soon.
