2012 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Chardonnay Riserva, Alto Adige, Italy

Light yellow fruit on the nose, vegetal aromas, touch of mountain herbs, nutty and light mineral traces. Light nutty oak on the palate, ripe, light fruit. very elegant acidity, floral and herbaceous traces, full-bodied, noticeable warm alcohol, good persistence and substance, light mineral notes, light salty notes, firm structure, touch of yellow spice, more warm alcohol on a very good, firm finish.

Editor note: Prominent yeasty and elegant vegetal notes on the nose, pomaceous fruit and some dried apricots, touch of citrus, herbaceous and light floral traces. Ripe, polished, juicy fruit on the palate, light nutty oak, yeasty and light floral aromas, very elegant acidity, moderate fine tannins, persistent, full-bodied, some depth, slightly chalky mineral notes in the background, very elegant, slightly resiny herbs, hint of juniper, still largely undeveloped, hint of tobacco, very good, long, elegant, juicy finish. Needs time to mature.
