2015 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet Riserva Mumelter, Alto Adige, Italy

Tart nose, dried herbs, black and red berries, some pomegranate, pepper, hint of undergrowth and dried mushrooms, hint of cloves. Clear, tart, youthful, straightforward fruit on the palate, delicate hint of smoked bacon, still has some yeasty traces, very fine youthful tannins, persistent, polished, ripe and juicy, largely undeveloped, nutty notes, light toasted notes, very good finish. Still needs some time to mature.
