2015 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva Taber, Alto Adige, Italy

Firm nose, ripe, partly preserved sour cherries and black berries, dried vegetal traces, hint of citrus zests and a whiff of cocoa. Juicy, dark, partly preserved fruit on the palate, predominantly cherries, come cocoa, citrus zests and a noticeable acid bite, fine, sandy, youthful tannins, coffe in the background, salty traces, some depth, fairly firm structure, quite polished, spicy cocoa on a very good juicy, herbaceous finish. Needs some time to mature.
