Fairly closed nose with sulphury notes, tobacco and smoke, herbaceous notes as well as a light touch of rosewood in the background. Powerful and quite creamy on the palate, soft fruit with hardly any acidity, some pureed pears, preserved yellow fruit and notes of bitter herbs, slightly sharp, full-bodied and high in alcohol, quite a muscular package, attractive to good finish. Although it is powerful, does not have much potential for maturation - enjoy now with suitable food.

Best to drink: Bis 2007+. What our ratings mean
