The wines keep constant high level and are usually the best in their respective category in the area. Weaknesses, there is little, but can occur in difficult vintages. However, this must be balanced in good years with particularly compelling assortments so that an operation can hold the status. In most cases you can blindly buy.

The cooperative winery in the Italian winegrowing area South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ) was created in 2010 by merger of the "Merano Winery" (Meran, founded in 1952) and the "Burggräfler Winery" (Marling, was created in 1984 by merger of the "Marlinger winery" and "Algunder Winery"). Thus, the western growing area of South Tyrol from Lana in the south over Meran to Riffian in the north and Algund to Kastelbell in the west was united under one roof. The 380 members with many small and micro producers cultivate best vineyard sites in Merano and in the surrounding communities Algund, Tyrol, Kuens, Riffian, Schenna, Marling, Tscherms and Lana. In the western part of South Tyrol, the growing area extends to the Vinschgau.

The wine production takes place in Marling; as cellarmaster or oenologist Stefan Kapfinger is responsible. In 2013, the converted winery was opened, offering guided tours from spring to autumn. The vineyards cover a total of 260 hectares terraced Vineyards. The white varieties Pinot Blanc ( Pinot Blanc ) Kerner. Riesling. Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Gris ( Pinot gris ) Sauvignon Blanc. Goldmuskateller and Gewurztraminer, as well as the red varieties Meraner Vernatsch ( Schiava Meranese ) Lagrein, Pinot Noir ( Pinot Noir ) Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc and Merlot processed. The elaborate care of the vines is done by hand with environmentally friendly cultivation methods. The amount of grapes is during the growth cycle drastically reduced several times in the vineyard. Through careful, selective hand-picking, only ripe and healthy grapes are processed.

According to the maxim of the house wines are to be produced, which underline the special character of the respective growing area. The product plate includes the lines "Festival" (varietal wines), "Graf" (strong in character, elegant wines from quality-increasing yield reduction), "Vinschgau" ( mineral Bergweine) and the top line "Lagen" (wines from specially selected, special individual layers). Depending on the type, the wines are aged in steel tanks, large wooden barrels or barriques. The wines are under the DOC designations Burggräfler. Merano. and vinschgau marketed. The flagship of the house is the DOC Meraner Weißburgunder "V Years". After Whole bunch pressing and fermentation, he stored five years on the in steel tank and wooden barrel. The entire assortment can be tasted all year round in the panoramic wine cellar, from where you can enjoy a view of the Meran basin and the vineyards.
