2016 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Riserva "ANTICUS Baron Salvadori", Alto Adige, Italy

Light dried herbs on the nose, meaty notes and iodine, blackcurrants, light cedary aromas, hint of licorice, juniper and tar. Fairly firm, ripe, black fruit on the palate, nutty, spicy oak with a touch of chocolate, integrated sandy tannins, creamy, full-bodied, noticeable warm alcohol, toasted notes, touch of licorice and some provencale herbs, salty mineral notes in the background, persistent, some depth, again creamy with noticeable alcohol on a very good finish with overripe, and partly preserved dark fruit.
