2015 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet-Merlot Riserva Sanct Valentin, Alto Adige, Italy

Light smoky, spicy oak on the nose, predominantly black berries, dried floral notes, hint of bacon and tobacco, herbaceous, earthy and mineral notes. Full-bodied on the palate, firm, ripe, partly preserved fruit, spicy, smoky oak and a hint of tobacco, chocolate and coffee, light acid bite, lots of ripe tannins, persistent and full-bodied, salty notes in the background, slightly sweetish and creamy, powerful, but also has some cool notes reminiscent of mint and ice sweets, some depth, oak, chocolate and ripe juicy fruit on a very good finish.
