2017 P.G.I. Epanomi Syrah, Macedonia / Μακεδονία, Greece

Smoky, woody and dried-vegetable to herbal nose of black berries and a little cherries with ashy traces, a touch of pepper and earthy notes. Powerful in the mouth, warm, partly cooked fruit, lots of tart-roasted wood, again also ashy notes, a little peppery-spicy, some persistence, malty tones, not too deep, a little drying, relatively rustic style, good to very good finish
