Slightly oxidative nose with black berries and cherries, floral and vegetal notes, dark roasted aromas and prominent licorice. Full-bodied, dark and oak-dominated on the palate, prominent roasted notes, astringent tannins, herbs and spices in the background, some more licorice, also some malted notes, delicate acid bite, medium depth, fruit becomes more apparent on a good finish. The oak makes the wine rather angular, and robs it of some of its charm.
