2004 Topikos Oinos Avdiron/Τοπικός Οίνος Αβδήρων Avdiros, BIO, Thrace / Θράκη, Greece

Mature nose, some bitter old oak, dried red currants and barberries. More barberries on the palate, tart, sweetish, partly dried berry fruit, bitter earthy notes, slightly prominent tannins,mature behind the oak, astringent on an attractive finish.

Editor note: Prominent peppery notes on the nose, sharply spiced meat, some sauerkraut and a hint of red fruit. Quite fruit on the palate, firm tannins and herbaceous notes, slightly tart and astringent, medium body, attractive finish.
