2006 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG La Lecciaia, Tuscany, Italy

Slightly buttery nose, preserved mixed berries, dried prunes and dates, earthy and light vegetal notes, dried herbs and delicate nutty notes, old oak. Fairly mature, slightly jammy fruit on the palate, earthy, vegetal and herbaceous notes, fairly prominent fine sandy tannins, sugar candy and some licorice, hint of chocolate, good persistence, very full-bodied, light acid bite, good grip, partly dried fruit, soup greens, earthy and mineral notes, candied nuts and light sandy notes on a very good finish.
