2013 "Bay Vineyard", Peloponnese / Πελοπóννησος, Greece

Tart, earthy, dried-vegetable, tobacco and woody scent with muted black berry notes. Powerful and rather rustic in the mouth, ripe, partly dried dark fruit, present, crumbly-sandy tannin and lots of alcohol, bitterish cocoa and coffee notes in the background, a hint of pepper, also tobacco again, good substance, certain heaviness, but also cooling mineral notes, very good, firm finish with tart juice and bitterish spice. Wins with air.
