2014 Champagne AOC Pinot Meunier Extra Brut Les Vignes d'Autrefois (Deg.:01-2018), Champagne, France

Slightly vegetal, nutty and slightly mushy nose with notes of pomaceous fruit, herbs, yeast, floral nuances and mineral notes. Ripe, tart and juicy fruit on the palate, nutty, yeasty and herbaceous notes, very light spicy and again a touch of mushroom, fine mousse and quite delicate, mature tannins, persistent, delicately creamy, almost a touch sweetish, good depth, very good, juicy as well delicate nutty, mushy and floral finish with a hint of bacon. First-class food companion.
