Mature nose with dried red berries, wilted flowers and some malted notes, light rubebry notes, hint of sage and quite a lot of lovage, smoky with prominent spicy oak. Oak again quite dominant on the palate, ripe fruit with light malted notes, herbs and spices, some more sage and lovage, slightly prominent, medium-fine, astringent tannins, full-bodied with noticeable alcohol, fairly persistent, good finish. Unfortunately rather overripe and dominated by oak.
