2005 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Rosenmuskateller, Alto Adige, Italy

Fairly mature nose, partly dried red and black berries, some plums, dried flowers, smoky with some spicy tobacco and muscat. Firm, very sweet fruit on the palate, fairly prominent acidity, fine tannins, smoky and roasted oak, sugar candy, some caramel and candied nuts, hint of muscat, full-bodied with excellent persistence, has some depth, mineral notes in the background, acid bite on a fairly juicy, spicy finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2020+. What our ratings mean
