2006 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Sauvignon passito Saphir, Alto Adige, Italy

Medium-intense nose, candied and dried pomaceous fruit, some gooseberries, green vegetal notes, light spicy oak, smoky and sweaty notes, delicate honey and some waxy notes. Strongly reminiscent of sweet biscuits on the palate, some smoky and roasted notes, fairly prominent, elegant acidity, honeyed notes, dried yellow fruti and some caramel, full-bodied and creamy, vanilla, very good eprsistence, firm structure, good depth, noticeable alcohol on a bitter and sweet finish. Improves with lengthy aeration.
