, The zone includes the municipalities of Ancona, Camerano, Numana, Offagna and Sirole, as well as parts of the municipalities of Castelfidardo and Osimo in the province of Ancona. The name derives from the 572 meter high Monte Cònero south of Ancona. The vineyards cover almost 600 hectares of vineyards on slopes along the Adriatic coast.
