2006 Pinot Noir trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Fairly gentle nose, red berries, some lactic notes and wet undergrowth, touch of potatoes, burnt oaky notes and dark chocolate. Quite soft on the palate, slightly sweetish and creamy, gentle, preserved, jammy fruit, quite smooth. some vegetal notes in the background, hint of undergrowth, moderate tannins, modern, soft style, already approachable, has some body, but not particularly deep, quite sweetish and jammy, but the oak also makes it slightly bitter and astringent on an otherwise good to very good finish. Well made, but very much a "made" wine, does not show its origins at all.
