2012 trocken Hillside, Burgenland, Austria

Clear spicy oak, spicy cherries and black berries, green pepper, dried tomatoes, tart, tobacco and earthy notes, some licorice. Fairly full-bodied on the palate, but also cool minty notes, ripe dark fruit, chocolate, coffee-spicy and tobacco-like notes, more paprika, fine sandy, predominantly mature, slightly astringent tannins, good persistence, soft style, full-bodied and sweetish creamy, then noticeably alcoholic, somewhat jammy and quite chocolatey finish. Will be firmer with air.
