The wines keep constant high level and are usually the best in their respective category in the area. Weaknesses, there is little, but can occur in difficult vintages. However, this must be balanced in good years with particularly compelling assortments so that an operation can hold the status. In most cases you can blindly buy.

The estate is located in the municipality of St. Justina above the municipality of Bolzano in the Italian viticulture sector South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). The business was founded in 1979 by the South Tyrolean wine pioneer Rainer Loacker by purchasing the Schwarhof, which was mentioned in a document in 1334. Today he is managed in the second generation by his sons Hayo and Franz Josef Loacker. The family also owns two wineries in the Tuscany called Loacker Corte Pavone in Montalcino and Loacker Valdifalco in the Maremma, and since 2009 another one in the Styria (Austria). All are made according to the rules of the Biodynamic viticulture operated, the first organic wine of northern Italy was made on the Schwarhof in 1979.

The vineyards of all locations in Italy and Austria cover a total of 50 hectares of vineyards. In South Tyrol this is seven hectares on loess soils with glacier fillings that are planted with the red varieties Lagrein, Vernatsch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Nero, as well as with the white varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Kerner and Pinot Grigio. The management has been carried out here since 2000 according to biodynamic rules. In cold, heat, rain or periods of stress, the vine is supported in the form of natural, homeopathic substances. The soil, the growth and the resistance effective microorganisms control fungal attack.

The selected grapes for the white wines are gently pressed. The fermentation takes place in steel tanks and sometimes also in barriques, after which the wines are stored on the for three to ten months , In principle, the selected grapes for the red wines are combed and passed through in steel tanks or in oak barrels maceration, For better color and complexity, there is a permanent one overpumping (Reassembly, delestage). After biological acid degradation, the wines are aged in large oak barrels or in barriques. There is no beautiful, Selected red wines with long aging in barriques experience no or less filtration,

The product range includes the DOC wines St. Magdalener. and Eisacktaler, as well as various IGT wines. Premium wines are the red wine "Kastlet Cabernet Lagrein" (wooden barrel, barrique) and the white wine Tasnim Sauvignon Blanc (steel tank). Around 70,000 bottles of wine are filled every year.
