2012 D.O. Bierzo Reserva Altos de Losada, Castilla y León, Spain

Firm, polished, somewhat balsamic scent of ripe, preserved black berries, pomegranate and cherries with dried floral aromas, a little liquorice and noble tobacco. Firm and very juicy in the mouth, dark, rather tart fruit with a fine bite and polished tannins, nutty notes of wood on the palate, a little roasted notes, tobacco and minty herb aromas, has all the power surprisingly cool, good depth, multi-layered, yet rather young, but already accessible, very good to long, again very polished finish with fine juice.
