2004 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru AOC Les Crots, Burgundy, France

Dried red berries on the nose, prominent green asparagus, some beetroot and mushrooms. Some more green vegetables on the palate, hint of potatoes, smoky and light cedary wood, restrained berry fruit, malted notes, fine dusty, astringent tannins, some cool mineral notes, not a lot of depth, fairly austere notes of potato skins on an otherwise attractive finish.
