2016 Chianti Classico DOCG "Ceppeto", Tuscany, Italy

Slightly greasy, spicy and woody nose of ripe dark berries and cherries with some roasting and tar. Ripe, partly preserved, dark fruit with chocolate and roasted spicy oak, slightly sandy and dry tannins and a little coffee in the background, good sustainability, has strength and warmth, very slightly rustic style, spicy and hinted ethereal notes, good to very good, again slightly drying finish.

Ripe, juicy, rather tart fruit, nutty-woody notes and cocoa, very slightly peppery spice, light acid bite, youthful, ripe tannins, quite full-bodied, good to very good, juicy and spicy, slightly warm finish.
