2005 Barolo DOCG Brunate, Piedmont, Italy

Spicy nose, forest berries, prominent undergrowth, hint of mushrooms and some tobacco, leathery traces. Spicy and quite juicy on the palate, ripe fruit, nutty notes, old oak, chocolate, fairly prominent fine, slightly dusty tannins, touch of tobacco, full-bodied and creamy, good persistence and depth, quite firm, traditional style, very well balanced, but not yet developed, very good finish.

Best to drink: 2012-2019+. What our ratings mean
