2006 Barolo DOCG Brunate, Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat developed, nutty and a little dried-floral aroma of ripe predominantly red berries with herbal and spicy aromas and slightly ethereal hints. Clear, ripe, juicy red fruit, nutty, dried floral and spicy aromas, present, crumbly, quite fine tannin and some bite, a hint of cocoa, persistent, good depth, quite distinct mineral tones, has power, also still some freshness, relatively complex, very good, juicy, spicy and very slightly milk-chocolatey finish

Editor note: Tart nose with light vegetal notes, red and some black berries, earthy traces and some undergrowth. Clear, juicy fruit in the mouth, firm and lively, elegant acid bite, fairly prominent but also fairly fine tannins, vegetal and earthy notes, hint of dried flowers, good substance and persistence, has some depth, hint of dried herbs, firm and juicy and made in a very traditional way, very good finish.
