The wines keep constant high level and are usually the best in their respective category in the area. Weaknesses, there is little, but can occur in difficult vintages. However, this must be balanced in good years with particularly compelling assortments so that an operation can hold the status. In most cases you can blindly buy.

The family company based in Florence in the Tuscany (Italy) has a very long tradition. The family has been documented in Florence since 1300 and rose from the 15th to the 17th century to one of the wealthiest and most influential Florentine families. She justified her wealth with banking and the textile trade. Among other things, they financed governing houses such as the English royal family. The family became involved in viticulture and agriculture very early on. As early as the 14th century, wines were delivered to many European rulers. Prominent customers included King Henry VIII of England (1491-1547), Cosimo III. de ' Medici (1642–1723) and the Fugger merchant family in Augsburg, through whom the wines were also distributed. The famous painter and sculptor Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564) is said to have exchanged works of art for Frescobaldi wine. The family was ennobled as the Marchesi de 'Frescobaldi in the time of the "Principato" (Grand Duchy of Tuscany). Today Frescobaldi is one of the largest and most important producers of quality wines in Tuscany.

The goals and measures are defined on the company's website in order to achieve them. The vision: As a winery, we want to set standards in Tuscany and devote ourselves exclusively to promoting their different areas by using the diversity of our terroirs, practicing sustainable cultivation and promoting the culture of Tuscany. The Mission: The name Frescobaldi stands for the responsibility to always produce the best Tuscan diversity, namely sustainable Way through: Environmentally friendly soil management to produce fine wines in which the entire diversity of our family property is perfectly expressed. Mediation and promotion of the culture of Tuscany and its various areas, through our property, our wines and our valuable projects (Gorgona, artists, Laudemio, restaurants, etc.).

The company was transformed into a public limited company in 1980, with the entire share package being owned by the family. After the death of his father, Vittorio Frescobaldi (* 1928) took over the management and was supported by his brothers Ferdinando and Leonardo. After thorough training in Italy and California, Lamberto Frescobaldi has been the 30th generation to be President of the entire Frescobaldi Group since 2013. In 1995 it became a joint venture with the California company Mondavi signed and together the winery in 2002 Ornellaia e Masseto accepted. After the Mondavi sale in 2005, Frescobaldi is now the sole owner. Outside of Tuscany, the Attems winery, comprising 44 hectares, also counts in the area Collio Goriziano (Friuli-Venezia Giulia) to own.

The Frescobaldi family empire comprises a total of ten wineries, nine of which are in Tuscany. The vineyards make up a total vineyard area of over 1,200 hectares. All wineries also have their own wineries, each with their own agronomists and oenologists, where the wines are produced independently.
