2006 Côtes du Roussillon-Villages AOC Carerades, Roussillon, France

Preserved and marinated cherries, black berries and some red berries on the nose, earthy and mineral notes, dried medicinal herbs and provencale herbs, peppery traces, meaty and light smoked notes. Fairly cool dark fruit on the palate, vegetal and earthy notes, slightly smoky oak, very fine tannins, full-bodied and persistent, firm with good depth, floral traces, juicy and delicately spicy on a very good finish.

Best to drink: 2011-2018+. What our ratings mean
