2013 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Merlot, Alto Adige, Italy

Woody spicy and slightly dried vegetal fragrance of ripe black and red berries with tobacco and herb spicy notes. Ripe, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, noticeable spicy oak, dried vegetal and herbaceous notes, hint of tar and earthy notes, some sandy, partly astringent tannins, hint of eucalyptus, good substance and persistence, medium body, slightly sandy on a good finish and also good finish slightly greasy.
