Peppery spice and light toasted notes on the nose, predominantly black berries, nutty oak, some licorice and tobacco. Firm, ripe, predominantly dark fruit on the palate, smoky, toasted, spicy oak, persistent and full-bodied, fine sandy, slightly astringent tannins, very creamy, noticeable warm alcohol, slightly rustic style, cocoa and some lactic traces, hint of hot chili, traces of quinine bark, good to very good, slightly astringent, alcoholic finish.
