1998 D.O. Ribera del Duero Reserva, Castilla y León, Spain

Garnet, not quite clear, lighter on the rim. Slightly oxidative nose, with bread notes, aromas of dark berries, plums and oak. On the palate, too, black berries and plums, quite noticeable roasted/toasted spicy oak, slightly astringent tannins, fairly traditional style, spicy on the palate, medium-bodied, not too much depth, fair to good finish.
