2004 Barolo DOCG Vigneto Gattera, Piedmont, Italy

Preserved red berries on the nose, some wilted flowers and leaves, tart herbaceous notes and tobacco, mineral traces and buttery notes. Full-bodied and juicy, loads of red fruit and plums on the palate, sweetish spicy oak, roasted notes, fairly prominent fine sandy tannins, persistent, mineral and herbaceous notes in the background, good depth, long finish.
