2012 Barbera d'Asti Superiore Nizza DOCG La Court, Piedmont, Italy

Clear, quite fine scent of partly preserved cherries and some red berries with delicate floral and herbaceous aromas as well as nutty and tobacco notes. Ripe, quite juicy fruit, delicate acid bite and very fine tannins, spicy nuances, good sustainability, medium power, appears rather cool despite the high alcohol, delicate herbal and nutty tones, a hint of dark chocolate, salty in the background, best balance, a little depth, very good finish with a fine bite. Has class.
