2015 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Vigna delle Raunate", Tuscany, Italy

Quite deep and firm, tart, tobacco, bacon and iodine aroma of more black than red berries with woody notes, pepper, cedary and dried planty tones and some minerality. Ripe, firm, quite juicy fruit with some smoky wood aromas, coffee and cocoa, some acid bite, tight, youthful tannin, persistent and dense on the palate, lots of power, a hint of orange zest and pomegranate, spicy flavours, good depth, very good, quite complex finish with juice and a little ethereal spice.
