The winery is located in the area Saint-Emilion (Bordeaux). The origin goes back to the year 1540 with a first owner François de Lescours. After a rich history and frequent change of ownership, it was bought in 1993 by Gérard Perse. Among the possessions of the family now include the wineries Château La Clusière. Château Pavie and Château Pavie-Decesse, As a consultant was Michel Rolland engaged, which introduced extensive innovations. The farm is classified as "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 32 hectares of vineyards with Merlot (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). The long-lived red wine is aged for 18 months in new barriques. From a surface with Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Sémillon and Muscadelle a Bordeaux Blanc is produced.
