Slightly smoky nose, ripe dark berries, mixed pickles, pepperyspice, slightly sharp alcoholic notes. Ripe, preserved fruit on the palate, some oak and chocolate, fine, sandy tannins, fairly persistent, noticeable high alcohol, spicy aromas, some smoked bacon and tarry notes, hint of licorice and dried meat, good to very good finish.
