2002 Goriška brda Modri Pinot trocken, Primorska, Slovenia

Fairly mature nose with prominent spicy oak, preserved red berries, mineral notes, dried herbs, some sugar candy and smoky notes. Loads of oak on the palate, roasted and smoky notes, some coconut, also has quite juicy fruit, creamy, medium-fine, slightly astringent tanins, herbaceous notes, mineral traces in the background, more prominent spicy oak on the finish.
