2011 Syrah trocken, Agean, Turkey

Slightly muted, quite animalistic and also earthy nose, black fruit with dried vegetal and earthy notes and a hint of pepper. Tart fruit on the palate, earthy, dried vegetal notes, lightly greasy, fleshy and floral notes, slightly dusty and astringent tannins, fairly persistent, peppery notes, salt in the background, slightly brittle, but quite well made, slightly smoky and roasted in the background, good to very good finish.
