Editor note: Translate to English Relativ kühle, geschliffene, zart säuerliche Kirschnase mit Noten von schwarzen und ein wenig roten Beeren sowie floralen und kräuterigen Aromen. Wiederum geschliffene, etwas kompottige Frucht im Mund, deutliches, bitterlich-nussiges und schokoladiges Holz mit Röstnoten, feinsandiges, etwas trocknendes Tannin, viel Kraft und wärmender Alkohol, nicht ewig tief, guter bis sehr guter, erst etwas bitterlich-holziger, nach Belüftung auch saftiger Abgang mit tabakigen Aromen.

The province of Burgenland with the capital Eisenstadt is located in the very east of Austria. The cross was made in 1922 by Dr. Fritz Zweigelt (1888-1964) on Klosterneuburg Wine Institute (Lower Austria), which gave it the name Rotburger.
