2013 Neusiedlersee DAC Ried Illmitzerweg Zweigelt Reserve trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Fairly elegant with a hint of cherries and more red than black berries, with lively floral and ethereal and herbaceous aromas, notes of beetroot and pepper in the background. Cool, slim-acting, elegantly juicy fruit, lots of cherry, some roasted, cocoa-spicy oak and again more ethereal herbs, persistent, slightly bitter chocolate and light soy sauce, tobacco notes, smoke, still slightly astringent tannins, salt in the background, good to very good , only a slightly drying finish.
