2016 Lazio IGT Viognier "Ars Magna", Latium, Italy

Rather deep, floral, also yeasty, quite clearly soya-like nose with white and yellow fruity aromas, fresh vegetable tones, especially cucumber, ginger and green pepperoni, very restrained, light, hazelnut-like wood notes and earthy to mineral nuances. Firm, tart, light fruit, very fine acidity, light vegetable, yeasty and nutty-woody tones, good substance and persistence, chalky mineral tones, a hint of tobacco, lavender in the background, warming but integrated alcohol, ethereal nuances, very good finish.
