2003 Beaujolais-Villages AOC Cuvée Speciale, Beaujolais, France

Slightly unclean nose with some animal notes, very subdued berry notes. Rahter subdued, too, on the palate, quite closed, a hint of fairly ripe berry fruit, with notes of cocoa and plum kernels, slightly astringent tannins, attractive finish.
