The winery is located near the city of Zaragoza in the DO area cariñena in the Spanish region Aragon, It was founded in the 1980s by the Ramón Reula family under the name "Finca Ayles". A number of plots were combined that were part of a 3,300-hectare farm in the Middle Ages. In the past, the wines were produced under various labels, namely Finca Ayles, Bodegas Aylés and Señorío de Aylés. In 2010 the fully owned vineyard Ayles was Vino de Pago (highest Spanish wine quality level, sensually Grand Cru ) classified and therefore the winery name changed. A newly built winery building was inaugurated in 2000. From the family Inmaculada Ramón Reula is responsible for the production and for the quality management Ana Ramón Reula.
