The winery is located near the city of Zaragoza in the DO area cariñena in the Spanish region Aragon, It was founded in the 1980s by the Ramón Reula family under the name "Finca Ayles". In the past, the wines were produced under various labels, namely Finca Ayles, Bodegas Aylés and Señorío de Aylés. In 2010 the fully owned vineyard Ayles was Vino de Pago (highest Spanish wine quality level, sensually Grand Cru ) classified and therefore the winery name changed. The vineyards cover 100 hectares (including 47 hectares of Pago Aylés) on soils interspersed with clay, limestone and chalk in the valley of the Ebro tributary Huerva. The area is part of a large of the EU defined nature reserve for birds. It will be the red wine varieties Tempranillo. Garnacha Tinta. Cabernet Sauvignon. The barrel cellar comprises around 500 mostly French ones , The entry level is marketed under "Aldeya". The Pago wines are called "a" (Joven), "y" (cuvée), "l" (rosé), "é" (100% Tempranillo) and "s" (100% Garnacha Tinta). The unusual names result in "Aylés". There is also the wine "3" (cuvée). The name "3 de 3,000 - Tres Mil" (3 out of 3,000) means that the wine comes from the best three hectares of the estate, which was over 3,000 hectares in the Middle Ages.
