2014 Barbaresco DOCG Riserva "Sori' Paitin Vecchie Vigne", Piedmont, Italy

Slightly dried-on, vegetal and earthy, also delicate nutty scent with tart berry tones and undergrowth notes. Cool-looking, firm, tart fruit with youthful, fine-sand tannins and a certain acid bite, slightly smoky wood notes on the palate, some herbs, tart nut aromas and tar, a hint of tobacco in the background, salty mineral notes, persistent, good depth, looks quite undeveloped, spicy hints, very firm, tart, juicy and spicy finish with a lot of grip and bite. Still has to ripen a little.
