Firm, tart aroma of dark berries with old woody, earthy and dried planty tones, nutty aromas, a hint of tobacco and toasty hints. Tight, firm, juicy fruit with youthful tannins and some acidity, dense and persistent, very powerful, but for the enormous alcohol amazingly fresh and lively, toasty hints, a little dried herbs, in the background clear minerality, very good, tight, tart-juicy finish, again with a lot of bite.

Best to drink: 2021-2027+. What our ratings mean
