2016 Barbaresco DOCG San Giuliano, Piedmont, Italy

A slightly reminiscent of dried rose petals and spicy fragrance of more red than black berries with herbaceous, vegetal and tobacco nuances and a hint of licorice. Tart, juicy fruit on the palate, nutty notes, light oak and some dried flowers, light tobacco and pepper on the palate, some tar, fine sandy, still slightly astringent tannins, earthy notes, hint of cocoa and coffee grounds in the background, very good finish.
