2017 Syrah "Le Roi des Montagnes", Peloponnese / Πελοπóννησος, Greece

Somewhat undergrowthy, tobacco and peppery scent of black berries and a little cherry with woody and earthy notes. Ripe, somewhat warm, tart fruit with crumbly-sandy, a little opaque tannin, nutty, earthy and dried-vegetable aromas, a little wood and ash, some persistence, lots of power and alcohol, slightly muted on the palate, a little dried herbs, meat and pepper, good to very good, tart-juicy and spicy, again alcohol-warm finish with ethereal notes.
