2003 P.D.O. Mavrodafni Patron (O.P.E.)

Translate to English Rehbraun mit Rubinreflexen.

Editor note: Dried figs, currants, sultanas and some spice on a sweet, slightly volatile nose, caramel and a hint of bread. Soft and supple on the palate, also has noticeable alcohol, dried figs, dried pomaceous fruit and dark caramelised fruit, sweet but also slightly brittle and starting to dry out, delicate bitter notes in the background, very full-bodied, but not particularly deep, mature and slightly alcoholic on a good finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2010+.
Editor note: Currants, dried figs, candied orange zests on the nose, some spicy notes, sweetish with a hint of bread, light earthy notes. Appealing, delicately creamy fruit on the palate, some more dried figs, preserved dried fruit, cinnamon, vanilla and molasses, some dried herbs, moderate tannins and a touch of angostura bark, the tart notes provide a good balance to the sweetness, has substance and some depth, but not clumsy, slightly sharp alcohol and some vegetal notes on a very good, long finish.
